I'm sorry to hear of your experience. To be quite honest, it is hard to find good nurses, especially in fields such as home care and long term care. The pay is lower in these areas and oftentimes less skilled nurses are found in these types of roles. That's not always the case, however. There are many excellent nurses who enjoy these alternative settings, and these settings certainly are no less demanding than acute care. I can attest to this fact, having worked in home health as well as long term care and acute care.
